How do you handle multiple skin tones in group shots - 03-23-2009, 09:46 PM

Is there a quick and simple way to adjust skin coloring in group shots where one person has a very red blotchy complexion and the rest of the group has nice olive complexions? Do you have to go into each one and separate out that individual? I'm talking 100 frames that need to be presented and there's one guy with red blotchy skin and I keep thinking there has to be an easier way to do this.

I would do this for a few shots. I don't know if I could or would do it on 100 images.
To eliminate the redness of the blotches.
Select just the man's face with a 10 - 15 feather edge.
Go to Image>Adjustments>Selective Color (Shortcut ALT+ i, a, s)
Leave the default Red color selected, then slide the magenta slider to the left to remove the redness.

Thanks! That's much easier than the way I was doing it. I can whip through each one much quicker now.
