I am printing in publisher...some gift certificates. The border is suppose to be brown, or so I thought. It comes out green..kind of a leaf green...not even close to brown. Shows brown on my screen. Where to start to see where the problem is?? I looked at the print options and the color adjustment is on auto..I don't want to start getting crazy with all the color management stuff, I don't print at home, but this is so far off, it's ridiculous.

it's time to calibrate you display. If you want good color rendition even if you don't print at home you must calibrate your monitor. Right now you are color blind relaying on your uncalibrated monitor to prepare your images for print. You need a calibrator there is many options out there I use a Huey Pro I get great results all I have to do is increase my brightness a little to get perfect results.

When you click on the border color, what are RGB the numbers it gives you?

LOL! I needed a good laugh on Friday.

Renae's Calamity of the Day.

Glad it worked out ok and you didn't drive yourself crazy trying to fix something that wasn't broke.

Side note:
I know some people that do most of the color correction stuff by the numbers. I mean like the RGB or CMYK values.
There monitors weren't calibrated or anything. It really surprised me, I don't really know how the heck they did it though.

Were you hunched down looking from below the centerline of the monitor? I've noticed that if I want to see what the prints will look like, I have to sit up straight. It's not much of a difference with 90% of the colors, but really dark ones change a lot.
