hello I am new to photography and editing. was wondering if any body can givesome suggestions on how to edit this pic better.

after a little work in gimp.

i really like this pic even though it is overexposed on the edges my son doesnt stand still for very long.

well i don't think i faired much better at clean up. i ran it through lightroom2...

white balance +10 (since it's not the raw file, dunno what the starting temp was, but figured since it was in the sun, it should be a 'warm' pic)

exposure -1.52
recovery 54
fill light 0
blacks 87

brightness 32
contrast 66

+some sharpening, noise reduction, and -10 saturation on orange

thanks i like that it looks alot warmer than mine.I like yours better. I know the harshness of the sun makes it difficult to edit thank you for your time.
