Photomatix Settings - 05-07-2009, 03:56 PM

I just bought Photomatix Pro and going to start playing with it. I took a few snapshots and running it through and it seems pretty cool what it can do. Just need to get out and take a few good pictures.

heres my question, do you guys have any "general" settings you typically use? Maybe for the more real look and for the more surreal look? Obviously each picture will get changed a little, but a starting point would be nice..

This guy has a neat HDR tutorial that uses Photomatix: http://www.stuckincustoms.com/hdr-tutorial/

The settings he used on the tone mapping part are usually pretty good.
