Canvas Advice- Mounting and Quality - *Canvas Inside* Help? - 07-27-2009, 02:09 PM

I thought I'd try and get some sample canvases on my walls for clients to see what's available. Artscow was running some cheap sales on some canvases, 8x10's and 16x20's, so I got 2 of each. (It was BOGO)
Well the ones they send you aren't stretched over a frame (unless you specify) so they're just flat canvases.
Little did I know you need to make room for the wrap around the edges.
So this is what I have- (Pictures below)
My questions are: What are my mounting options? and How does the quality look? Is it pretty common for them to be glossy like this?
The print looks kind of crappy, much darker than what I've had printed on photo paper, and I'm really not impressed.
Perhaps I should try some Pro labs for this sort of thing.
I'm all ears people.
Thanks in advance.

edit: Sorry for the dirty snapshots...

well if you want to go cheap, you can dry mount those canvas, they are small enough, if you stretch it you will eat up some photo area, next time I will recommend ask them to leave some white space for the border if possible.

I personally like it when the image wraps around the sides. I am about to have some images printed on canvas by Photo Source (Louetta & Kuykendahl area). I liked the fact I could go into their location and see samples.
