OK, I got a new Macbook Pro with Leopard on it. Downloaded the newest driver for my Epson R2400. Went to print the other day out of Photoshop, and nothing happened. A window came up that said "printing page 1" but nothing ever went into the R2400 queue. So I reset the printer, re-loaded the driver, nothing. But it prints from other applications, including Adobe reader. So I re-installed Photoshop CS3, and then it printed. I thought I'd solved it. A couple days later I'm trying to print, same thing, nothing in the queue. I don't want to have to re-install CS3 every time I want to print. Any ideas out there.

What connection are you using, USB or FireWire? I had a similar issue with an iMac and R2400 which was resolved by re-installing the printer drivers and using the FW connection instead of USB.

Disconnect the printer, remove it from the system through the System Preferences > Print & Fax dialog. Open finder and navigate to [Home Directory] > Library > Printers and delete any reference to the printer, then reboot before running the installer again.

USB sometimes gets 'amnesia' as to what's connected to which port, although this has been more common on Windows machines than Mac's in my experience, but swapping to a FW cable may be worth a try if you are on USB have one available.

Actually I use the firewire, and I finally figured out with some upper level Epson techs what to do. It seems that the drivers that work with the intel leopard macs function differently than my old ppc driver. So I actually had to change my old workflow slightly when printing. It took forever to figure it out though. It would print color with Photoshop controlling the color management, but not the advance b&w mode. I just had to change settings and proofing around a bit.
