This is what my father said to me when the 4880 arrived. He was definitely lost for words...except for "It's big". Now to find time to head over there to help set it up for them.

I wish! I was very fortunate earlier this year to get the 7900 myself with rebate at a price point that allowed me buy a set of 350ml inks for it at the same time. I didn't do as well on paper as I missed that rebate by a few dollars.

The 7900 does an amazing job. So far I've printed Epson's, satin canvas, luster (260) and exhibition fiber paper. I'm also in need of severall rolls of paper, but will wait until I have a print job that requires it.

You must do some serious printing if you need to keep three of each color ink on hand. I've only kept three of each color ink on hand when feeding a small ink capacity printer such as the R1800.

As they say in The First Nudie Musical: "Eeets so beeeg". It is a large printer, but not as large as Ken's 7900. It takes a while to charge the ink lines, so get ready.

It was the part where it (the 4880) came strapped to a pallet as delivered that really caught my attention.

So I finally got to spend some personal time with the 4880 this weekend and it is simply amazing. Ease of use, quality of the print, the flexibility in feeding made it convenient. Now to order more roll paper!

Any recommendation? Amazon.com is at the top of my list right now mainly because of the price and that I can get it next day cheaper than retail.

Armadillo photo suppy in person or from their online store.

Depending on your needs, they may be able able to beat Amazon. Besides, wouldn't you like to be able to walk in a pick up your supplies when you need them?

I've had great service from Atlex, and comparing online prices to that Armadillo place, it seemed a lot less expensive.
