I am interested in types of paper to print on my Epson 2880. I am currently using Red River Ultra Pro Satin. What would be the next step up for printing color and black & white? Please identify if the paper is neutral or warming or otherwise ...
thanks!

I bought all of Red River's sample packs including 13x19. I can't make any of their paper print right.
I can make Moab Entrada Natural Rag 300 print very well.

Wayne:
Did you use their printer profiles (downloaded from their website)? I have used Red River Ultra Pro Satin with good success on Epson 2200, 2400, and now 2880. The North Lake Photography classes use the paper to good effect as well.

Yes I did. And used Epsons settings. Nothing worked right for me. The Moab Entrada worked like a charm.

Hi edd,
Are you wanting to stick with glossy/semi-gloss papers that use Photo Black, or matte papers?
Semi-Gloss: I like Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Baryta. It's a bit on the warm side. I've also heard good things about Canson-Infinity's new baryta paper. If you want something with higher gloss and a very smooth surface, Harman Glossy FB AI might fit the bill.
Matte/Rag: Hahnemuhle Photo Rag is a popular choice. Lately I've been using Crane Museo Max which has the deepest blacks of any matte paper I've tried. Moab Entrada has a pretty loyal following, although I've never really used it. Inkjet Art and Shades Of Paper both have good selection/prices, including sample packs of some of the papers.

Jeff has made some great suggestions, I would just like to add my 2 cents to the Moab Entrada, I really like it a great deal, and it printed well for me on my 2400 printer. Quote:

Apparently, Moab paper is made in the USA. That means a lot in my book.
Thanks for the confirmation Murph.

For some reason Moab just works for me on either of my Epson printers. I really like the 300 gsm Entrada, it has a sweet look.
