Best Photo-Quality All-in-One

This is a discussion on Best Photo-Quality All-in-One within the Printroom forums, part of the Photography Information category; I know this is probably cheaping out, but my ex ran off with the all-in-one printer/fax/copier/so-on-and-so-forth. I need another one ...

Question Best Photo-Quality All-in-One - 02-12-2010, 02:55 PM

I know this is probably cheaping out, but my ex ran off with the all-in-one printer/fax/copier/so-on-and-so-forth. I need another one and I'm looking to upgrade considerably. (and not just with the printer)

Anybody got a recommendation on the best all-in-one for photo quality? I'm guessing it would be an Epson, but I have no idea which model. I haven't bought a printer in, oh, about 8 years.

Thanks in advance, y'all!

I'm partial to my HP. It's old, but was top of the line. Top of the line today should be good. It takes photo inks in place of the big black ink cartridge used for letters. Ink usage seems to be better than Epson.

Sorry about your printer loss. The other sounds like a gain in the long run.

Well, I ended up going with an HP *deep breath* Photosmart Premium Touchsmart Web! The first test photo I printed out took my breath away. It was really, really good. It's got a ton of other features that I haven't had time yet to play with, but I think for my hobbyist photography prints, it'll be more than sufficient. My favorite feature is that the ink cartridges are all separate, so if I run out of cyan, I just go buy a cyan. There are also 2 black cartridges: one for photos and one for printing text and copies.

Thanks for the reference, Wayne! All my other printers have been HPs and I've rarely been disappointed (except for that $30 HP from Wal-Mart. Blech!).

Glad to help. That doesn't sound like an All-In-One, but if you're happy that's cool.

Bring some prints to the Film Thing at Baker Street Pub next Sunday.

No worries. You missed another trip to Glenwood & Star Pizza. But who's counting?
