4x5 framing mats - 07-04-2010, 10:47 AM

Hi all,

I have a client that purchased a number of images from me last year that called wondering why I don't sell standard sizes. After a year, she when to look for frames for her 4x5 images... apparently thinking that this was a 4x6.

There is lots of commentary that could be made... although let's refrain.

My suggestion is to find a larger frame and put a mat with a 4x5 cutout. Outside of the typical Michael's, and Hobby Lobby (who apparently don't carry 4x5's), where are some places in DFW that you would recommend they look? Also, what are some reputable online resources you have used for framing and mats.

Thanks,

IIRC, don't those two also do custom sized framing?
You pick a molding and a matte and then they build it for you.
