Wow what a sweet idea! I have never even considered anything like that. I have no idea about the printer though sorry , just had to give you props on such a great idea.

It should....... unless you mean both sides at one time.

Generally you print one side, let it dry, then print the other.

Its the paper thats important.

I agree.

I think it also offers straight pass through feeding, which would be best to prevent rolling/bending of the paper and possible damage.

Moab & Red River, the brands I have used, offer double sided paper. There are others. I think you are limited to matte paper for double sided printing.
As Kevin suggests, one side at a time.

I have done this successfully with it's older model (Canon i9900) double sided red river paper has worked well for me. Like Kevin said, just be sure to let it dry completely on the one side before printing on the the other.
