OK, so im a newbe,,
i just got a Pixma 9000Pro, and have been trying to do 8X10 prints of this pic,
the colors are NOT what I want,,not like on the screen,or even straight off the RAW file with no tweaking,
there NOT VIVID
there dull,,very DULL,,and boring,
,
in the pic attached,
the deep vivid blue, swirl in the foreground,
is coming out purple,as is all the vivid/bright blues,
,
im using my friends, Kodak, Gloss/brillant,, 100 sheets in a gold box,
injet universal, because its free,,lol,,

im NOT liking it,

so what im asking is this,

what advice would you people give to a complete newbe,
for buying a paper ,,,4x6,,so i dont waste alot of ink,,before going to 11x14,
lol,,,to practice on,
for vivid accurate, eyepoping colors,

as i said,
this is completely new to me,

thank you,
john

Are you using a calibrated monitor?

Have you downloaded the ICC profile for the paper you are using?

Are you selecting that profile?

Also check here: http://www.texasphotoforum.com/forum...alk-again.html for some excellent comments. No matter what I cannot seem to get a bad print on Moab Entrada. Also if you have the option between photo black and matte black are you using the correct ink?

What Murph said. Free paper isn't free if it wastes your very expensive ink. Check the Moab site for a profile that matches your printer to their paper.
