Can anyone recommend a few companies that you use to purchase frames?
The only one I know of, beside Michael's, Hobby Lobby and online boutiques, is GNP. I am looking for some good quality frames.

Thanks~

i had something i needed framed a couple of months ago and I used Hobby Lobby for the first time... I was really impressed with their work and I would recommend them again. Many times you can find that they're having a 50% or 70% off sale.

One thing I defintiely recommend is upgrading to "museum glass" no matter who you use to frame your work.

I have been using American Frame (Americanframe.com: Custom Picture Frames in Metal and Wood - American Frame) for mats and framing supplies. They will cut the frames to any size you want (as with the mats).

I like Frame Destination. They're a Texas company (even a TPF sponsor at one point, not sure if they still are). They have a nice selection of frames and they cater to photographers with available kits for 3:2 aspect photos in addition to standard sizes (you can also get custom-sized mats/frames to pretty much any size you want). They do a far better job of packaging materials for shipping than any other mail-order place I've used, and since they're in TX ground shipping is usually just a day.

Although a mall store (therefor not cheap) they have a January penny sale which means they are half price. they have some good quality and interesting frames. I always visit them during this sale a find something I like.
You can go online to find the one that's closest to you

This is who I use. Used them for my first solo art gallery years ago, and they were super quick and did a fantastic job.

Hobby Lobby seems to follow a schedule for their sales - one week frames are 1/2 off, the next mat boards

Aaron Bros is a division of Michael's, but just frames/framing. Be aware that they are closing many of their stores.
