My printers were pretty old and scanner had died so I looked around and tested some models. Got the Epson Artisan 835 It's still inkjet (not laser)and does a good job. The scanner is better than most. Set-up was easy even for me. I'm happy with it even if I did pay more than some. Wireless is nice!

Was thinking about one of those Wi-Fi HP all-in-ones for my general printing and scanning. Glad to know they play well with Mac & PC since I have both in the house.

I might be wrong but I don't think the "all-in-one" features (scanning, faxing etc.) will work wirelessly over the network. I believe only printing will work with every work station but the all-in-one features will work with the one computer the printer is connected to via USB.

I was wondering how much longer mine will last, so I started looking around at the current models to keep me up-to-date on features and prices. Both Epson and Canon have some pretty nice refurb models for dirt cheap that were all-in-one with wifi.

Ditto: been doing the same thing for years. I guess if you've just got a wireless router and a laptop, you'd have some use for it, but if there's a desktop anywhere in the network, this is really a solution for a problem that isn't there..

Sounds easy enough. I'll just do that.

Thanks.

Or the HP mentioned is found with win7 and installed without the HP software. Couldn't be any easier.

I just got an Epson Artisan 835 all in one as well...

I havent had a new printer in like 8 years so I was waaaayyy overdue. It has built in wifi and was very easy to setup.

In regards to the original post... Im not sure what the best way to hook up your existing printers wirelessly. sorry.

Epson Workforce - 01-03-2011, 11:07 AM

I got an epson workforce 520 in June 2010 and it works great even with my droid. they dropped the prices on all the models and their super affordable.

The only connection needed is a phone line if you want to Fax something. But then again who uses fax anymore?

I haven't had a problem yet with my Epson workforce 520 and the inks aren't that expensive.
I use it with 2 laptops and 2 desktops.
