hahaha, I used to have a Epson r1800 for printing at home till I realized how expensive it was after about a year. Most of the time its walgreens for me and I send off for others. I laugh because I have over 1 TB of RAW pictures and not one picture on the wall in my house. Whats the point?

Kool, because for my first 37 years in photography I had no darkroom at home (and no digital cameras or scanners), so you are doing very well, about 30 years ahead of me!

Good grief. I have prints I made myself by hand older than y'all.

Wife got a Canon Selphy when I bought her last camera. It sat around the house un-opened for a couple years before we had the need to print some pics at her office. It is amazing how beautiful the prints come out. Nothing like the old ink-jets I've been used to using.

There only 4x6, but they made great name badges for the event. As people showed up, we took their photo and put them on a large whiteboard. As people roamed around the event they could look over the photos for names & faces of the people they work with on a daily basis, but have never meet in person.

Then at the end of the event, we used the photos to draw the door prizes. When the photo was drawn the winner was announced by putting the photo under the ELMO & displayed on the big screen.

I didn't print at home until a friend sent me a Epson R2880! Because he was sure I would love printing at home. He was shocked that I sent everything to a lab. I did with film, why not let the pros do it!

I love my 2880 but I wish I would use it more. Anything 8x10 and under is cheaper through a lab even with a Continuous ink system

HA! HA! HA! I print. A. LOT. It is not a photo until it has been printed.

Mr. Stovall would agree. He often said the same thing.

I just printed out a bunch as well. Getting the colors on the paper to match the colors on the screen is proving to be quite the PITA.
