I see that Matt is winning out over Glossy but for me i prefer glossy , don't ask me why just seems prettier.. Though Bailey i would really like to check out that Metallic. Is there a special kind of printer that you have to have to work with that type of mmmmmm Paper? I have a HP Photosmart D7460.

Could you please enlighten me.

Nothing I have ever printed was worthy of glossy.
The matte hides things.

I used to print only on glossy.

Then last week for a project, I had to print 40 images on 20 sheets, back to back and make a coffee table book.
I'll be darned if I could find glossy back to back photo paper.

So I got the matte.

I thought "Hey, that doesn't look too bad!"
When my wife looked at it, she said "It looks like I'm looking out the window at that scene."

I guess I'm a convert. I still like Glossy, but I don't dislike Matte anymore.

I huge advocate of the matte. Looks great, though kodak endura isn't bad either.

since I hand print almost everything I do, I like Stonehenge #150 hot presssed water color paper...
Which also goes through the printer pretty well...as long as you have a really good printer

I do like matte if I am doing a book. And the Staples brand double sided matte is really nice for books...scores nicely for the folds and doesn't raggle when put in the shear in a 150 page stack.

And it is just that Staples paper that I found, and used for my book last week.
