print to dvd

This is a discussion on print to dvd within the Printroom forums, part of the Photography Information category; I have an HP printer...I do not want to install all the software that comes with it....(PITA and it takes ...

I have an HP printer...I do not want to install all the software that comes with it....(PITA and it takes too much space) if I can ....but I need to print a photo on the dvd...any suggestions on how I do that/?? : )

If you need a color picture, you would have to print it on paper then transfer it to the DVD. You might be able to find a word template for that or I use Avery they have those kinds of templates. I have a Light Scribe cd burner, which can burn a B&W halftone picture into the DVD itself. That needs software. Hope that answers your question.

OH yeah!!! I just had to put the dvd in the printer and adjust the settings to print on the dvd instead of 8 1/2 x 11 paper and it printed!!!

HP photosmart Premium - print fax scan and copy... 309c... I do not like HP because of their software....but at the time, it was my best option for what I needed. It actually has a special "tray" that you use to print your dvd's on.
