Coordinating my monitor with my printer - 01-18-2012, 10:46 AM

I知 trying to get my printer to match what痴 on the monitor. I have CS-5 Photoshop that I知 using for corrections. I知 trying to match my Eizo ColorEdge CG223W monitor to my Canon iPF5100 printer. At this point they are not even close. I also have a Colormunki for calibrating the monitor. I seem to have all the right equipment, what I need is someone to help me tune it all together.

Do you have some recommendations on who to use?

when you run your profiling test patches on the printer make sure you turn all color calibration (in printer and in photoshop) off. That way you have an "un controlled" print to calibrate from.

Hi Stephen.........This is great information. I'm contacting them to make sure I can use it on my iPF6100. They were referring to the larger iPF Canon printers.

I would have custom profiles made for you favorite papers for your printer. I have used Cathy's Profiles in the past and they have been great. The cost of a custom profile may seem expensive, but they are great and prevent much wasted ink and paper.
