I cannot change my paper type when I am trying to print a photo. Basically the only options for paper are Plain, Thick Narrow, Thick Wide and Transparency. What the heck could be going on?

John,

Lets just cover the basics first, I use a Mac as well.....
1) File Print
2) Printer Select Epsone your printer
3) Page Setup
4) Format for Epson your printer
5) Paper Size 4x6 with or with out borders and other sizes
6) Then hit print
7) Then go to Print Settings
8) Then you can chose Media Type
9) Then mode Photo
10) Then Hit Print.

Have you done all these steps?
Please don't think I am trying to be funny or a smart a$$.... But I don't know what you have tried and have not tried as of yet....
Please advice if this helps or not....

I was going to mention Print Settings, which I believe lets me choose from photo paper and then types (premium glossy, glossy, etc.). I have an older iMac, a MacBook and Epson Photo R260 ... it's just a consumer printer but works really well with Epson papers.

Make sure you choose the printer in the page setup dialog, as then the specific paper sizes for that printer will become available. If you just go straight to print, they won't necessarily be there.
