i was looking for a good photo printer and this one caught my eye. Price seems reasonable and can print up to 13x19's. What i really want to know is how fast does it go through ink and how good is the print quality. thanks in advance.

Going through ink is so relative.

Here's my recent experience: I have a HP 7310 printer. It uses small cartridges. 2 weeks ago I needed to make 10 5 1/2"x7" (actual print size) B&W prints at Max DPI. According to the onscreen guage, both cartridges, 3 color and Photo gray, were very low. I started sending prints 2 at a time figuring I would run out of ink before I finished the 10 prints. To my surprise, I was able to make the prints and I still have ink left. I have never had that kind of luck or output with my Epson printer.

YMMV.

I have a B8350 (like yours for the most part), as do 2 friends of mine.
They all use it for scrapbooking (journaling and 25-35% opaque background photos) directly on to 12x12 paper, since the printer is capable of feeding cardstock pretty easily with the straight thru paper path enabled.

I use it for printing large photos.

The ink use as noted above is relative to what and how heavy you print. I can normally go ~3mo on the same ink carts. When you get refills for it... make sure to get the higher capacity ones.
