Anyone ever get prints from Adorama?

Just saw that they had a $5 sale on 16x20's and was wondering if anyone knew how good of quality their prints are?

I've ordered several large prints and they did a very good job. The metallic prints are very nice. I'm about to place an order for some 8x10's, 11x14's and some 16x20's in lustre and metallic. I think it's a good deal for what you get. The metallic in 16x20 are $7.95 though. Just depends on the photo and what you like.

yep, made a thread in the great deals...I ordered some 16x20 Metallics last December when they were 4.95 a print. They were very good quality IMO. I know a few others ordered from them as well and were very happy with the quality and service.

My $0.02:
I had a last minute client meeting at 7PM uptown. I uploaded the images and selected same day (ready by 5PM, NYC Special). I show up at Adorama at 5:30 and they are not ready. I wait...6:10, they are ready...prints are missing...prints there were to be black and white are in color. They redo the order. I am late to my client meeting. Don't get the job.
Take two, I order some landscape prints (8x10 and 16x20) and they arrive by mail a few days later. They suck. Big time. I calibrate my monitor weekly and convert to SRGB as they direct...colors are desaturated and way off. I complained and they were quick to reprocess, but they still did not look great.
The lesson I learned was that when they say a real live person looks at your prints to make sure they look right, that person is an idiot.
I have been very happy with Pro DPI in CA, and beyond thrilled with Millers. And if I really need something same day again in NYC, I go to Duggal and print it myself.
They do awesome work.

The prints are ok but you are getting what you pay for. Not up to the best standards. I wouldnt print serious work through this.
