Type: Magazine:

Inked Magazine is one of my non photography related magazines that I use for photography. Does that makes sense? Prolly not but read on. Inked Magazine has a staff of VERY talented portrait photographers and I am always impressed with every issue that comes out.

I'm one of those photogs that is always looking at magazines in order to reverse engineer how a shot was taken, how many lights were used, their location, what kind of modifiers etc. All of these items can usually be determined by looking at the catch lights in the subject's eyes. Not only is this magazine a great reference for photo techniques but more importantly its a great guide to posing people for portraits.

This is one of three magazine I subscribe to on a monthly basis and I highly recommend it if you're always looking for ideas in regards to portrait techniques and posing styles.
