I ordered the kindle version...it was ten bucks! I have been reading it on my Streak 7 tablet :) At least I don't have to worry about the pages being ruined or lending it out.

I concur with so many others - one of the few books on photography (out of many I've read) that actually helped me be a better photographer.

Highly recommended.

I'm with you Frank. I have had my camera for 4-years and this will be the first book I buy. Looking forward to getting it as well.

It's a great book! It was one of the first 2 books I've ordered when I started Digital Photography. Should've read it a long-long time ago....but I was busy with learning on my own.

I was having lunch with a friend that is a new photographer this weekend. She was having a bit of a time grasping how everything worked. The first thing that came to my mind was this book. I told her to run out and get it. I really can't reccomend it enough.

I just finished this book and i purchased it thanks to this review and the many people on pixtus that always help out. I have to say that it is one of the top books that i have read and it helped me understand what i was doing alot better, i would recommend this to anyone even if your new or been doing it awhile.

I bought this after watching Bryan's videos on YouTube. I was impressed with how he made operating the camera look easy. I learned shooting film back when automatic exposure cameras were almost unheard of so I was already familiar with the principles of exposure. However, this book helped me to understand some things that I had missed like how depth of field really works. It just goes to show that just because you think you understand something, you still can learn something. I highly recommend this book for beginners and experts alike.

I just got my first dSLR a few days ago (shot with film a few times on dad's old SLRs, and have had a few digicams, including a decent Kodak fixed lens). I had a halfway decent idea how stuff worked, but Understanding Exposure REALLY filled in the gaps and tied it all together.

I will DEFINITELY recommend this book to anyone looking to get into photography. I'll keep it around as a reference, and to loan out if needed. Hopefully I'll be able to apply some of what I've learned, and take some great shots.

Banres & Knoble got my $25 today.
After years of playing with a SLR (Canon AE) and understanding the manual settings, I jumped to the DSLR back in 2007 (Nikon D40x). Today (4months ago) I have moved to the D7000, WOW, this thing blows me away. Just want to spend $!

Back to the subject, at this point, pg 26 White Balance....I'm learning more, camera + exposure.

:)

Thanks PIXTUS & Abel

I've have been taking photos for a few years now. And, while I say I understand exposure there are times when I am not even sure I do. Everyone praises this book so I decided to pick one up.

Through the first 40 pages I'm already impressed. And, the great thing is I can see me reading it over and over. I don't find many books that I can say that about.
