The Patchmaster is a device that you attach through the GPS port (on the D5000 and D90) that is basically a shutter trigger when a large amount of photons hit the sensor. There are certain things is suppose to do, and unfortunately the device I recieved did not perform as advertised. After contacting the company to exchange or refund, I got no responses. I got irritated and decided to make a video review of their product and post it on YouTube and
photography forums, such as Pixtus.
After I posted this video, the Patchmaster company contacted me (within 12 hours of posting the video around) to refund me my money, and in return remove the video. I did. There was no agreed on time the video would be down,
so I put it back up after two months. At this point,
a slander campaign was started by the company owner against me. Amongst other things, he accused me of working for a rival company. None of which was true, but hey, it's business.
Needless to say, I never got another copy of the PatchMaster Lightning Capture! device. I can only review it to the point that the one I recieved was a defunct product. This is not a product I will not recommend and try to convince anyone who is looking for something such as this, to buy from their rival simply because of the owners actions against me.
