Radio popper help - nikon ttl - 03-27-2008, 10:17 AM

So i know what radio poppers do. They transmit infrared signal into radio and then back into infrared signal. That is great, i have something similar for my remote controls at my house.

What do i need to get the benefits of this?

I have a d80 and a sb-600. Will this setup work? OR do i need a sb-800 and a sb-600 for it to work?

I am just wondering??? I am pretty new to ttl so if someone wants to explain the nikon version that would be amazing too.

Yes... your setup will work.

The D80 has the built-in Speedlight with Nikon i-TTL flash metering and two-group wireless commander.

The Nikon CLS system (and you can do this from your camera) allows you to set up your flash and control it from your camera/flash. You can adjust the power output or set it from manual to TTL, Auto, etc.

Very handy when you have a multiple light setup and don't want to walk around changing settings.

Well... it's time to get back in the game.
