I know this has been touched on in a regular thread, but I thought I'd consolodate all of the information here in one place.
The San Antonio Park System includes:
Alamo Plaza, the River Walk, HemisFair Park, the Tower of the Americas, La Villita, Market Square, the Botanical Gardens, Brackenridge Park, Travis Park, Milam Park, Olmos Park,
all city satellite parks (listed below)and the Japanese Tea Garden.
Permission must be obtained through the
San Antonio Film Commission prior to filming on city-owned park property.
In general, parks require a film permit fee of $50, the River Walk and Alamo Plaza, a fee of $200.
In addition, some parks require a separate, additional reservation fee, handled directly through the
City of San Antonio Community Link Centers.

City of San Antonio Park Hours
Please note that City parks are open from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. unless exempted under the park curfew ordinance passed by City Council in June 2000. The curfew does not apply to the River Walk, Alamo Plaza, La Villita, Market Square, HemisFair Park and Woodlawn Lake Park. Exceptions may be made for special events through the permit process. Call 207-7275 or one of the community link centers for more information on special events and curfew exceptions. |
