...as in very early morning with no one on it. It was almost surreal! I captured it in a relaxed, non-hussled way. Love your thoughts

I love the Riverwalk in the morning! It's absolutely the best time to be there.

Beautiful shots, Phil! I've never been down on the Riverwalk early in the morning - I need to do that. Thanks for the inspiration!

I bet it was so nice and quiet, too. Great shots!

On a side note, I did an engagement shoot for a couple at Fair Park in Dallas just after the State Fair of Texas packed up. Talk about surreal ... having been there nearly every year since I was 10, it was odd to be there alone (waiting for my clients) with it so empty. I recognized where vendors and rides had been just a few weeks earlier.

Thanks guys. In 17 years here, this was my first walk on he Riverwalk this early. It was amazing. I saw things I haven't ever noticed before and the quiet was amazing.

Oh! I bet that was surreal! These are very beautiful photographs, Phil. I love the first empty boat shot the best!

I'd much rather be out shooting photos than sitting here at this computer...

Perfect colors. Do you tweak them or what filter are you using? Thanks!

I love photographs like this. The first one is my favorite. I'll be in San Antonio at the end of the month, but I just don't know if I can get up that early. I'm lazy!

Thks for the post Phil. I lived there in 76 & 78 and just loved the city and surrounding area, but now the crowds have gotten too big for my taste. These shots bring back the serenity that was the river walk 30 years ago(seems like yesterday).

You did a great job photoshoping all the people out of the pix. LOL! just kidding. In all my years living here in SA, I don't think I've EVER seen it that quiet. Very surreal. I'll have to make it out there one morning.
