New River Walk Area

I went to the Pearl Brewery's Saturday morning Farmer's Market and here are some photos from there. The new River Walk Area is beautiful and offers some nice photographic opportunity, not to mention the great food and other things to purchase at the Farmer's Market. Go early to get the best selection, avoid the heat and take advantage of the better light. Best of all, the parking, admission and views are all free.

p.s. Is #3 behind the Pearl Brewery? I don't remember seeing those little waterfalls.

nice work, Dave, I'll have to explore that area when we get back home sometime soon. Every so often we go home and play tourist.....

My (now) wife and I used to have a cheap date walking along the Riverwalk when I was home from school. Our wedding night found us arriving so late after all the festivities that only the bars were still open along the river and we had to settle for Earl Abel's for our 1st meal together......in 1976 decent eateries on the river were still a rarity. No, I don't count Casa Rio as one of them. We aren't THAT touristy.....

Thank-you Ken, you need to go to the Farmer's Market, they have some good things to eat there.
And Damon, yes the water falls are just behind the Pearl Brewery. You can see the stairway down to the river in this photo. I bet the late afternoon light would yield some great shadows, be sure and take at least a monopod or better yet a tripod with you.
