New to SA area - 10-23-2009, 09:09 PM

I am new in the SA area...staying in Live Oak at the moment waiting on house to close. I have nothing to do this weekend-other than wash clothes. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I can go get some good pics? I am fairly new to DSLR and don't really have anyone to show me the ropes. Any help and suggestions would be great!

Thanks

Does anyone know if the newspaper still has the Weekender on Friday?
It kept up with the goings on in town.
I quit buying it when it went up to $.75.

You could check out the Japanese/Sunken gardens, brackenridge park, the Missions, or the Alamo and river walk area downtown. Plenty of photo ops, and all free.

I think there are at least 2 parks off of Toepperwein, I've been told were nice but I haven't made it out there yet. Should be good weather.
