Looking forward to another great photo road trip. This time over 3,000 miles on the road. Starting next weekend I'm heading to New Orleans then into Alabama and my vacation spot in the great smokey mountians. All for the pursuit for the perfect landscape photo. I've never been to the smokey mountians in TN and SC but looking forward to the fall colors. I'm hoping the weather is good and the trees are turning the fall colors. I'll try and post up some of my photos along the way like I always do on my photo trips. It's been a while since I have even shot anything, so It will be nice to get in touch with my camera again.

I've been there in early spring when they were still snowcapped, with the waterfalls just thawing and flowing. Breathtaking.

Leaving Tomorrow, heading to Cushatta to gamble and play some golf, then into New Orleans, then into Alabama to hook up with a good friend then we are off to the smokey's then into Nashville and then graceland then home. Should be a nice long drive! Got the Surius radio subscription renewed so It will be fun driving around looking for perfect picture spots.

Well my first leg of my journey is complete. Stopped at Cushatta yesterday to play some golf and gamble. It was a win, win situtation. Walked away with $500 playing roulette lastnight! Saw a hypmotist show and had a great dinner with my winnings. Life was good to me yesterday. Here a few quick pics I took of the course I played. Not much but it is got me warmed up. In downtown New Orleans as I type this, leaving tomorrow to Alabama then on into the smokey mountains.

Okay so I walked around for a couple of hours on Bourbon St. I've never been to New Orleans, neat place if you like live music and adult entertainment and gift shops all mixed in with a little alcohol. Was able to get a few pics..

Awesome photos, John!
My oldest son is in the Navy, stationed in California, and is on a detachment in New Orleans. He was on Bourbon Street last night. Small world!
