Is anyone going up to Austin to shoot the Kite festival at Zilker this weekend? Just curious.

the San Antonio Parks Foundation produces the Annual Kite Festival and Dog Fair, “Fest of Tails” to celebrate the arrival of spring and family fun in the park. The fourth Annual free event takes place Saturday, March 20th, from 10:00am to 3:00pm at McAllister Park, near the Starcrest entrance

Wow, I didn't know they had one here in SA, don't tell my hubby, he wont want to go to the Austin one!!

I plan on going to the Fest Of Tails if I can get the day off. I went last year and really had a great time.

Because on this mornings rain @ 9:00 the event was officially canceled!

Read in the Express news the S.A. event has been rescheduled for Saturday 3/28/10. same time same place.

This was originally scheduled for the 20th but will now take place on the 27th.

This is a GREAT event from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm - bring your dog, your picnic basket, lawn chair, kite, and enjoy a day of good old fashioned fun! The open area outside the dog park at McAllister Park is where all the fun happens!

Beautiful Kites flying by pros and hobby enthusiasts.....a dog costume contest....a dog parade....access to the dog park for some off-leash fun for those who enjoy dog parks....food & drinks are available from various vendors.....lots of booths with everything from rescued dogs for adoption to colorful kites for sale!
