Haha,

My family is in lockhart. Check out black's and the most affordable Chisholm trail....
I have to admit i am a smitty's fan myself. But you can beat the price for Chisholm trail. It is really where the locals go.

Have fun. The town is super small and the courthouse is amazing to photograph if you have a wide shift lens.

Murph! I was there yesterday around 11ish. Drove in from Houston yesterday to get some sausage and brisket at Smittys and it was well worth it! Came back to Houston with 2 boxes of sausage.

Kreuz market gets my vote, but you can't really go wrong with any BBQ joint in Lockhart.

Kreuz Market has always been my favorite. I used to go to the old family place, which is now Smitty's, before Rick had the split with his sister and built his new BBQ restaurant. I usually pickup some of the Kreuz Jalapeno Dry Sausage to go.
