I have a friend that is moving to Maryland to San Antonio, Texas and other than the Riverwalk and Sea World, I know nothing about the area
What are the family friendly sections of the city? She has a daughter in high school so which areas have the better schools? Of course if you know the places to avoid, that would help too...thanks!!

Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City School district in the NE side is one of the very best. Plus costs are lower, and crime is low as well. Also the Boerne School district and Boerne area is pretty decent. Avoid most areas in San Antonio, and anything on the 281 corridor due to traffic issues. Schertz-Cibolo is a great area to live.

And if that person has to drive into SA to go to work at Ft Sam, IH 35 is a straight shot in from the townships that Murph describes. Hwy 281 gets very congested going to and coming from downtown SA. Have her Google the Chamber of Commerce for information.
