Murph, count me in. I am off that day after Veteran's Day. I hope the leaves are beautiful by then.

sounds like a great time to go — we were there two weeks ago. Not much rain, all river beds were a bit dry. Not much color (some! but not much) in most places. Lots of deer in surrounding areas! Take your big lenses, if nothing else but for that.

Well, I'm back home and ready to go to a GTG... but I can't make this one, I already have a committment that weekend in Seguin.

We had a lettle color last week; but the high winds knocked most of the leaves off the trees. Should have some more color by the weekend.

Don't forget to get there early before the park fills up. Whenever the TV station or the website indicates the colors are peaking... the park fills up fast.

I'll be there on the 13th but plan on being there o-dark thirty to hike in to the good sites. If you plan on getting there at 9 AM, on any of the days during that week, good luck!

I plan on arriving around 4-5 AM for the hike. No one will be there and I just place my annual pass on the dash of my vehicle to avoid a ticket. The parking lot will be wide open at that time.

The trees here in Germany are awesome for color right now! And with the high latitude it's pretty much golden hour light all day long. If only we could get some clear skies!

See you guys on the 13th!

Bryan, where are you in Germany. I just got back two week ago. Spent two weeks in the Saxony area.... the fall colors were not that great then and the weather was overcast a lot. Rainy and cold the last two days. Did manage to get about 2500 shots (still processing).

Hey Al!

I've been around Heidelberg the whole time. The colors have been amazing! I'll post some shots when I return Tuesday night. We are now beyond the color sweet spot now. I couldn't have times it any better with the color and the castle here. I'll be spoiled when it comes to Lost Maples this weekend.
