Kelby Training/ Photoshop CS5 Power Tour w/ Dave Cross - 01-19-2011, 12:41 PM

Having been to a previous Photoshop Power Tour led by Dave Cross, I'm still weighing in on this.

Anyone else from our area/state going?

I've been thinking about it. I take it you weren't satisfied.

Not the impression I meant to convey. The first photoshop seminar I went to was presented by Ben Wilmore and while he did a good job, he didn't follow the material guide. The second was by Dave Cross and it was very good. In my opinion, Dave Cross does a better job presenting the material and sticking to the distributed guide.

Looking at the list of topics is why I'm still weighing whether or not to go.

I did learn from the seminar lead by Ben Wilmore, but I learned most of the info after the seminar while reviewing the instructional material. I think that was partly due to the material presented and my level of familiarity (or lack there of) with photoshop.

I had a much easier time with the material presented by Dave Cross. Perhaps it was because I had raised my level of photoshop knowledge to the point where it was easier to understand and grasp the material or perhaps it was the way Dave Cross presented the material.

Bottom line; I don't think anyone attending a seminar led by Dave Cross will be disappointed.

Ken, I'm not going..you can learn most of their stuff from their tutorials and podcasts...I feel that you pay just to meet these "celebrities", no thanks

The material may be good for those who do not regularly watch stated videos..

I agree that you can learn most of the stuff via podcast. I'm a subscriber to kelby training and can get all of it there. Dave Cross is a top notch guy. I met him this past weekend at The convention and he took the time to chat with me like any other person. A real professional. I just like having my computer all there in front of me trying it all out before it falls out of my ears on my way home. My two cents.

Hi,
I am. I'm looking forward to it too. I went to the last PS training they had here in SA. It's worth the money I think.
