Hey Steve,

You should check out Meetup.com there are several good local groups.

1. The San Antonio Photography Meetup Group - I do not recommend this one.

2. The Semi-Pro Photographers' Guild - So far this is the best one locally.

3. Alamo Arts Photography Group - It is now under new management and looks promising.

4. San Antonio Small Studio Portrait & Glamour Photography - As it says in the title these are studio shoots. Pretty much every GTG costs, usually $40-$65, as they are workshops of some type. I have my own studio so I don't go.

It all depends on what type of GTG your looking for really. Personally I am more selective on what I shoot these days. I am kinda burnt out on the nature/state parks, Missions, zoo, etc (all the touristy places).

Would be nice to see what people are up for.

Thanks for the info Allen. Even though I am going to look into the groups you mentioned, I don't think I will want to pay out to shoot with a group of people. I am looking for a few fun photographers who want to go do some gorilla style shooting for the pure enjoyment of it all. Doesn't matter what the subject is, ya know?
