Group Photo Ideas

I am looking for places in San Antonio that might lend a nice touch to a large group photo. I have been asked to brainstorm some ideas for a shoot for a group of about 50 Concert Band musicians and need a space that will allow enough space and decent lighting. The missions are always nice, but how about some others? Indoors or out, either is fine. Also, if you have some good examples of group photos to show other compositions and people placements, they would be helpful too. Thanks for the help.

Anybody out there? Surely there are some creative types that have ideas for a pic like this? Your help is much appreciated.

Well - I guess nobody is around today so I will throw out a few ideas.

I like the outdoors but I know how that can be iffy based on weather and strong summer sun. How bout - The Guadalupe River, Canyon or Medina Lake, A Park? Well, those are what come to mind at the moment. Hopefully, someone else will chime in and give some better ideas.

What about that outdoor theater on the River Walk: the group could be seated where the audience usually is, and the photographer can take the pics from across the river on the stage. At certain times of the day, lighting will be a challenge in there, however.

I have also seen some large group photos at the McNay Art Museum grounds...it would work for a group shot, but you have to work around a lot of bridal photographers on the weekends...
