Breezy - you can't just do a drive by without saying hi...

How are things after the move to Virginia? Do you like the east coast? I'll bet the fall colors were beautiful - certainly much better than Texas!

Best regards,
Dave

Hey Dave, sorry lol I think the dog walked on the computer while I was gone and I didn't pay attention lol.
As for things after the move, well they are OK. I mean it is VA after all lol.
But, not sure if you remember I sued our builder and won in June. Well he tried to sell a house last week and couldn't cause of the lien we had on him and the business. They tried to bully us for awhile but I refused to give in (dh would have more than likely, just cause he tries to be the nice guy). Any way once they met my demands of money first then we sign the release, it was smooth sailing. So thankfully we got the money wired to our acct yesterday, couldn't have come at a better time. Very thankful I stuck to my guns and took him to court. The movers made us an offer on our damages last week too. But I got to going through it and many items were missing. So I find out that 2 pages of our 8 page claim is missing from their offer. So that should be a nice chunk of change when they get it worked out. Business is going well. I am busier than I want to be with dh leaving next week. I have 2 sessions this week and still behind a wedding and the family (mine) ones from the other week. So I can't complain there.
I did an engagement shoot 2 weeks ago this friday, and apparently I left my 135 2.8 and Metz flash on the boardwalk. I just new it was gone cause dh went back to look for it, we reported it to the base, they looked at me like I was crazy and said there was nothing they could do. I demanded they file a police report so that they could atleast be traced if someone took them to a pawn shop. Then they claim that they can't list them as stolen. Cause I wasn't mugged and robbed etc... I looked at the guy and said TECHNICALLY (he was trying to be all technical with me lol) if they aren't where I left them and no one has turned them in (this was on Monday and they dissappeared on Friday) they were Stolen lol. He didn't agree. I called the insurance company, thankfully I would have been covered but someone thought they were "their" photographers and then when they found out that they weren't they took them back to the base. So I got them back on Tuesday. Thankfully. So now I get to go shopping for a bag that will hold all of my lenses and both bodies etc... Cause needless to say dh was pissed, I was just greatful I had insurance.
Housing here is nice, we can't rent for what have here in the "base" housing. The only draw back is the neighbors are asses (think I posted about the one the day our junk arrived) and the other can't seem to read road signs that say no parking. yard is tiny and reminds me of Corpus, thankfully it isn't as hot.

As for the colors honestly here most everything is green cause they are like pines and such that just don't turn. There are a few patches here and there that have color but not like I want to see. I am sure Stephen has some AWESOME colors. I tried to convince dh to go to Natural Bridge last weekend just to get away BUT NO! So I am trying to convince him to go to DC this weekend, wanted to go for Veterans day but apparently he has to report to another precom on Mon and Tues. If we don't the kids and I may jump in the car and head that way once he leaves lol. So if I do get to see some color I will be sure to post a few for you. Supposedly they mountains peaked this past week/weekend.

Oh and as for liking the East Coast, NO lol. We didn't want to come back here. After having been born in NC, and then being stationed in SC and VA, we are ready for the west coast again. That was the point in going to TX, it got us half way there lol. DH will have 3.5 years left when his orders are up here, even though they are due to deploy right before his orders expire so we expect to be here until spring 2010, we just PRAY that we don't have to do the last 3 here. We still REALLY want any where overseas, but we know our chances are slim since he had the job and school he wanted when we had the orders to Naples, but when they canceled those and sent us here he lost both :(. So if we get a detailer that feels sorry for dh maybe we will get to go lol, other wise we may be here til the end.

So now after my last 6 month story how have you been? Good I hope. When a friend of ours down in Corpus gets married I may have to swing through and see yall. DH refuses to step foot back there lol. As much as I hated Corpus I would go back for a visit but it is like NC I do not ever want to live there again lol.

Wow, Breezy, it sure sounds like you've been busy! I'm so glad to hear that you won your suit against the builder. And shame on him for trying not to live up to his part of the bargin. Good on you! It sounds like you and my wife would get along very well. We had some drama around a brand new range earlier this year, and she took it all the way to the manufacturer and beat the distributor into submission

If you get back this way, give us a shout, and we can try to do a GTG!

Best regards,
Dave
