Finished Early This Week! - 06-18-2007, 12:03 AM

When I got off work Saturday afternoon one of my sons declared that my wife and I needed our own photo scavenger hunt. We had fun and I managed a couple of shots for this hunt.

Forgive me if the collages aren't the greatest. I finally gave Paint Shop Pro 7 the boot and picked up the latest version of Photoshop Elements. I'm still getting used to it.

About some of the elements here... I had to use a push pop for the sucker since no place in this stinking 1/2 horse town had a real lollipop. #11 refers back to Foxworthy's original redneck entry where he talked about appliances on the porch. The pistol I used for #13 is my father's. It was his backup weapon before he retired from the highway patrol nearly eight years ago. It is still one of his favorites. I was thrilled when he offered to put it in the picture. The theater I shot for #7 has been abandoned since the owner tried to turn it into a porn house in the late 70's. Two small offices in front and a sound studio in the back are all that I know of having been used since then. The roof is caving it and I'm afraid if someone doesn't do something soon we'll lose this place. I've been told how lovely it used to be inside and wish it could be that way again. Anyone got around $300,000 to buy it with?

Just a few more hours to upload your hunt pics!
Mine will be up shortly (although I don't have nearly as many finds as Ed!)

I think we should make the next one a 2 week long hunt instead of 1 week. The rain ruined my weekend for pics.

Question Two weeks? - 06-18-2007, 09:39 PM

Sounds like a good idea to me. Two weeks would also give us time for something other than a "simple" hunt. We've had four of those in a row.

Anyone else agree?

Business and family activities ruined mine. 2 weeks sounds good.

OK sounds like a plan to me too. Looks like Ed won this week and gets to pick the next list of 20 items. Go get 'em ED. I had a hard time getting my shots too.

Working on the list - 06-19-2007, 09:31 AM

I'm working on the list now and am trying make it interesting but not cheesy. That's tougher than I expected.
I'm at work so it may take another hour or two.

Good job y'all! Sorry I wasn't on sooner, a lightning strike to our neighbor's house Sunday took out our cable and internet with it.
