i didnt see any settings in that app... plus then everyone that uses it will have to change their personal settings too and thats hard to enforce.

The settings are found under the iPhone settings at the lower part of the main settings page. It is a simple ON-OFF button for Show Signature. Once set to OFF, you can forget about it and the signature won't be sent, but I understand about being hard to enforce.

How is their tagline any different than the "Sent from my iPhone" tag that we commonly see in emails, forums, facebook, and everything else?

I dont see the tagline as an issue, especially with the amount of time that we all spend cruising TPF from our phones. If it were a huge banner ad, that would be one thing, but a bit of extra text... c'mon.

The tagline might effect SEO and Google ratings/rankings, and thus impact ad rates and the ability of the forum to pay for itself.

It should be set off by default, if the programmer has not done that for a paid app, that is a major malfunction on their part.

Brian hit the nail on the head. The tagline hurts the forum revalancy wise thus hurting our index ratings.

Still looking in the software now.

KILL THIS STUPID APP!!!

The site is down and TPF is constantly timing out looking for their java script code.

Their site appears to be back up again, but this brings out a nasty issue. If for some reason, you can't load http://www.tapatalk.com/files/tapatalkdetect.js, then your browser will just sit there until it times out. Essentially this makes TPF unaccessible when their site is down. Not good IMHO...

OK guys...

Tapatalk server had a major outage yesterday and they released a patch/fix for it late last night.

The fix allows us forum owners to run the javascript on our own server instead of linking it to theirs. This should fix the hangup issue you guys experienced last night. TPF should now run as smoothly as it had been prior to the Tapatalk install on our server.

Also, They are in the process of resubmitting the applications to vendors with the annoying default tagline TURNED OFF so that users dont have to hunt for a way to turn it off.

I am giving this program another chance since theyve released these couple of fixes... If you guys notice any further problems with the app/software please let me know and I'll look into it and go from there.

Thanks for the heads up Scott!
