Tapatalk is a really cool app available for iPhones, Androids, Blackberries and Nokia phones. It is a really simple program that allows you to navigate and load forum pages on the phone without having to open the site in a browser thus downloading the entire site, style and miscellaneous images. What does this mean? This means you can browse the forum much faster!

For iPhones users, the Tapatalk app can be found on the iTunes store and cost $3.

Link to buy and download the App for the iPhone, Android, Blackberry and Nokia devices can be found here:

Tapatalk - Online Community at your fingertips!

---------------------------------
IMPORTANT SETTING:
---------------------------------

The Tapatalk App automatically has a default tagline/signature that it includes in all replies that are made using this app. This automatic tagline "Sent From My iPhone Using Tapatalk" is annoying and hurts our status with search engines so if you do plan to use this app to browse the forum I would like to ask that you disable this function.

How to Disable on iPhone:
Go to you Settings options on the home screen. Once on the Settings page scroll all the way to the bottom and there should be a Tapatalk icon, click that. Within that new page you will see a [SHOW SIGNATURE[/b] setting which is defaulted to ON. Changing this option to OFF will eliminate that automated tagline.

For Android, Blackberry and Nokia phone users please look for a similar setting in order to remove the automated signature in your posts.

Thanks a ton to Dennis (aka d2creative) for bringing this phone application to my attention! You my friend receive a Free Premium Membership!

Thanks!

There appears to be a 'read only' free version of this application as well....

Abel: can't you strip the annoying tagline before the TPF page renders?

Extremely beta is right! The beta android version doesn't seem to have any settings available, so if it defaults to sending the tagline there doesn't appear to be any way to turn it off.

It seems you did something to the forums to make them compatible with this app? I ask because I get 10-20 second pauses trying to read the forums now while my browser is trying to connect to "http://www.tapatalk.com", very annoying.

This will happen any time you have issues accessing the tapatalk website as it inserts a java script routine into EVERY access to the TPF pages. I am going to add it to my blacklist and see if my browser will block it before trying to access it. You might give that a try. I think it's overhead we don't really need on every page access.

That works!

I added a custom filter to Safari adblock. It speeds up browsing again.
