Flickr link doesn't work...

So I go to my flicker account, highlight the address bar, copy, then paste in the flicker field in the "control Panel" area of my profile. But my flicker button on my avatar box still doesn't work. what's up with that ? What am I doing wrong?

I had the same problem, my user name on Flickr is heard03, but typing that in my "Flickr User ID" space in my User CP didn't work. Go to your Flickr page and copy and paste the URL to the "Flickr Page" space in your CP and make sure you don't have an extra "http://www." in there. Then go down to your "Flickr User ID" space and just copy and paste the part of your Flickr URL that comes after "photos/" to it.

Example: The URL to my Flickr is:
Flickr: heard03's Photostream

I just pasted:
7267154@N05/

After that it finally worked, hope that helps.

Wow, that's so jacked up. that's not my flickr username at all. it's like, some hieroglyphic number code thing. But anyway, I finally got it to work. Thanks dood.

You're welcome, mine is some strange, random-looking bunch of characters also. That sure is weird.

Before Flickr had usernames, all the page links were weird combos like that. They only added in the username functionality a few years ago.

I remember Abel fixing the Flickr field to take actual user names also, but wonder if one of the forum updates killed that?

A while back I noticed a lot of members' Flickr link in their avatar box giving a "Page Not Found" when clicked, including mine. After messing around my User CP for a while I figured out how to fix it and have sent some PMs to members whose link didn't work to give them a heads up.
