Signature restrictions for some but not others? - 02-09-2010, 01:51 PM

Abel,

It seems that for some users there's a 3-line limit on signatures (counting word-wrap). I'm guessing this happened with the last forum upgrade. I can't make any minor changes to my existing signature because when I try to save it says it's too long. But I know of at least one other user who can make changes or create a sig that is substantially longer than mine. Any idea what's up? If it's relevant, I have a premium account but the user who can change his sig doesn't.

It's a feature, not a bug :-)

Abel, any chance you could look into this? I originally thought that somehow this restriction only applied to Premium Members. But I just allowed my premium membership to expire in hopes I would be able to change my sig without hitting the limit, and it still doesn't let me. I'm not sure why this limit (3 lines including word-wrap) is only there for some and not others, but it seems a little overly restrictive.
