I'm staying in the Portland area for a while and have been looking for something like TPF there. Of course, there is nothing else like TPF! Does anyone have any suggestions on out-of-state groups or boards online?

You might try NWPHOTOGRAPHERS.NET. I live just south of Seattle now and it is one of the better ones around here.
