As for the other typo, yes I try to catch them but if that is the biggest concern that haunts me with then I have sure cleared my plate of a lot of other worries...

I think that Pete has a good idea. I believe that one should have a 24 hour "grace" period to edit their post though. Sometimes it takes me that long to realize that I misspelled most of my words. Thank you for listening to my thoughts.

p.s. I will try and not edit this post.

What are you saying? I have no regrets about my posts. I misunderstood Abel and noted that in a subsequent post. If there is something that you want to say, say it, don't hide behind teenage text-isms....

Hadn't seen that pic before. Just speaking of the content within the photo, that's one massive pile up.

I'd say what really have to say, but I'm heading my previous warnings.

Meaning that of instead of debating the points of the discussion you would be resorting to what? Personal attacks? That can only be it as discussion, even passionate discussion has never been a problem here, it's only when people resort to the personal attack that things get locked and people get warned.

But if that is the case with what you feel you need to say, then perhaps it is a good idea for you to heed those warnings as those kind of responses rarely add to the discussion anyway.

@revjvegas I would say this, simply don't click on the thread if you don't care for the discussion and you think it's over. Simple. No one is forcing you to jump in to the fray.

Oh no... Personnel attacks don't achieve anything, except making the attacker look like the bad guy.

I just find it amazing that someone who is so caught up on informational threads, and 'good conversation', would go to such lengths to change a forum rule that no one else has a problem with to begin with.

It's been said by many a moderator, and Abel himself, that if you don't like the forum or how it's being run, feel free to go somewhere else.

@CCoy Thanks, I am a pretty amazing guy! And really, if you have no problem with it, why follow the thread, after all didn't you say you were bowing out of the conversation a long time ago? Obviously the thread holds your interest in some capacity. Hey, this thread has like 70 replies and 500+ views, that's better than most! And if people don't want to read the thread or reply then they can certainly ignore it and it would then be just me writing to myself and there's no harm in that. As a member I can post my thoughts here pretty much ad nauseum. If you don't want to read them, that's fine, pass on down the line, "ignore" me or whatever but trying to goad me into a response about feeling free to go somewhere else is just funny. I am happy to stay and keep voicing my opinion. And so long as I don't violate the rules of the forum, that is my prerogative as things currently stand. No one stopped you from asking for your pet showcase, heck people were even on your side there, it was only when the discussion turned ugly that your thread got closed. That's why I am trying very hard to stay on point, one should be held accountable for what they write and not be able to go back days and weeks and delete things.

There is nothing I would rather do right now than to go back and period out all my posts on this thread just to highlight the point but that would be a direct swipe at Abel and uncalled for. Hey Mods, any way to duplicate this thread and post it with all my post dotted out so we could see what it's like?

Two things.

1. Don't speak for me. Several of us have said we don't like people editing their threads.

I think we are hopeful that there can be a solution that does not include the "flat out " no more editing.

If that comes to pass. I guess my original options exist.
Live or leave.

2. I have seen or been involved in threads with Pete in the past.
From what I can tell, he is a good guy.
That doesn't mean I have to agree with him.

There is probably a rule about the way you treat other members.

A little respect can go a long way.

There are a lot of threads that might as well be deleted because without the photos they are meaningless, reposting with a big watermark might be better or some way to block copying them.

And I agree the holes ruin the threads, especially the ones referring to photos that are no longer there.

And that's all I have to say about that"PERIOD"

I accidentally deleted most of the images I've posted on TPF over the years... dropped one of my websites and completely forgot about my TPF photos on it. Doh!
