Question Embedding Videos - 09-07-2010, 08:52 AM

What am I doint wrong?

I find a youtube video, copy the long embed code, click the little YT button on the toolbar above, and paste the code between the brackets. But nothing shows up for me.

Did something change, or am I doing something wrong?

Also, why can't we embed videos other than YT? Like Vimeo videos.

Each forum, depending on how it's setup, uses different ways to embedd youtube videos. Some use the whole url and many just use part of the url. Look at the two url below

1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v = H_H8TOKcfjg

2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v = e7WNk14Wtcg&feature = player_embedded

For the TPF, there are two ways to embed youtube videos. In sample #1, select and copy the part of the url after the = sign. Then click on the YouTube wrap tags button and paste the code inside the tags.

In sample #2, select and copy the part of the url between the two = signs. Then click on the YouTube wrap tags button and paste the code inside the tags.

huh.... thats interesting. I used to just copy the full embed code and it would work, and then it quit, so I didn't know what I was doing wrong.
