can't get avatar photo to work

This is a discussion on can't get avatar photo to work within the Site Info forums, part of the General Information category; have followed the size requirements, but tells me upload has failed... any ideas? thanks in advance, heather...

have followed the size requirements, but tells me upload has failed...

If you resized as normal in PS the color profile may get attached and will bump the kb size up over the 50kb limit. Try doing a "Save for Web" on it and see if that helps.

Try "save for web" as a GIF instead of jpg.

I can't get mine to work either. Instead of loading one, I'm trying to link to a Flickr URL.
"it" doesn't like my link :-(

Avatars have rules for pixel dimension & file size. They must be uploaded to TPF. You can upload them from your local computer or from a web server via a URL. The linked file must be just the image, not a web page i.e. it must end in .png, .jpg, .gif etc.
