Attaching Photos? - 04-25-2011, 02:01 PM

I used the search feature using multiple terms and couldn't find an answer...maybe 4-5 pages wasnt far back enough...but anyway...

Has anyone mastered the art of attaching photos here without making them look all funky?

Since photobucket isnt blocked at work anymore, I forget that it still is for some people. I'd like to use the attach option if it didn't totally ruin the sharpness in my pics.

I've tried 720px wide. 750px wide. 800px wide. and 900px wide. Sharpen for web as usual. and nadda. Totally ruins em.

What have y'all done that works?

they just lose every bit of clarity. Maybe I should ask Leslie. Hers dont seem as affected as much as most others ive seen. But I tried her dimensions too and it didnt work for me.

I dont know if it's compressing them or what. I'll double check my file size. But it seems there's always a "that doesnt look very sharp" comment when most people attach files....and then the original poster is always like, well it's sharp on my end! lol

Abel - it was the file size. DOH! (i just fixed my attachments in the 1.2L thread)

I just didnt think at 720px wide they'd be bigger than that, since you were allowing for up to 900px wide.

If they're larger than 300K it just SERIOUSLY compresses them apparently.

Thanks for re-pointing that out - even tho it says that on the upload window! lol
