Why can't I see the photos TOO?

Sometimes people post photos inside a thread. I can't see them. Right now I can't see them in this post:
Went Enchanted Rock and Pedernales Falls

Sometimes if I refresh, I get them. This time nothing. If I quote reply, I can see the link to where they are.

Anyone have a clue what causes this?

In this case Janice, I think it is just that the thread is from 2005 and the photos no longer exist

The only reason this post was brought back to front was due to a troll attempt. That's just my .02 by the way.

They've taken the photos off where they were hosted. The thread you've linked to is 6 years old. I went back to look at a photowalk we had earlier this year, and some of those are already gone. Just depends on how the person keeps track of their photos online.

I guess I got suckered by that one. It showed it as a new post in my list, at that point I did not look at the date. I was just tired and wanted to figure out why this happens to me so much. Many times it is a brand new post that day, and if I hit refresh a couple of times they will show up.

Hm, I haven't had that particular problem. Maybe post it in the site bug thread?

the thread may be new because there was a new post to the thread, but it doesnt mean the thread is new.

I was talking about post not having pictures but them appearing after refreshing 2-3 times. That sounds like an actual problem - possibly.

Yeah, it's kind of irritating when someone revives a five- or six-year-old post, especially when the images aren't there anymore.

Though...it does make me want to go back to those places and bring my camera.

Just thought of something, if it's someone who has never posted photos, they may have messed up and were editing the posts. I know I did that the first time I posted, had to edit several times before I actually got the pictures in.

Yes, but Janice had specifically mentioned it happening in other posts, and if she refreshed or quoted the picture they would appear. Just trying to be helpful.

It just happened in another thread in the comments. Actually poster was editing because photo didn't attach. When I reloaded the page there was a link (although still jacked up, so maybe it will be edited again by the time I check back).

It just happened in this post: Fuel Altereds

Current post with no photos showing but when I hit reply i can see the location. I refreshed 1st time waited no show, did it three more times before I could see them.
