sports section is for only posting photos, discussion is to be placed in the Photo Tips section.

then i have failed. that is NOT what i want members to think. if i dont know these occurrences happen by way of members reporting them then i cant correct the situation and inform those give the "ass whooping" that their behavior is NOT welcomed here.

this forum is for EVERYONE, all levels welcome. there are NO stupid questions. If members act like asses to our beginners and/or anyone for that matter then they need to change the attitude and follow our rules or I'll promptly show them the door.

As I have said... we as mods do not and can not see EVERY single thread here so if something goes south then PLEASE report it so that we can be made aware of it and handle the situation.

I have checked out other sections and talk about a friendly bunch.
That is the best reason for them to have thier own sub forum.

Makes it easier for the rest of us to avoid them....

back to the original post... the reason there is not a dedicated sports discussion section is because there is not enough content/activity to warrant one.

in the past we did not have a dedicated wedding section but once our other sections got over run with wedding and wedding business talk i moved it over to its own dedicated section. if and when sports do the same ill create its own as well

I remember one harsh comment and a metric ton of helpfulness.

I personally don't see a single harsh comment as an ass whopping.

one harsh comment is one too many... those that feel the need to make a harsh comment need to just not comment at all if theyre not going to help the original posters question/concern.

Then maybe, Tom, just maybe you should read again. There were a few harsh ones. And granted - there were more that were helpful and gave the advice that was asked for. One was just downright mean. That was uncalled for in itself.
The PM's were incredible. I thanked those people - those were the ones that kept me on the site.

GOING back to the OP... if you want to start sports discussion, use the showcase... if too much discussion clutters it up, Abel will create a Sports Discussion forum... that's how the Wedding one ended up being created.

If there are more that were helpful, why not share your POSITIVE experience of getting great, free and detailed advice rather than dwell and complain many times about the one negative comment and attempt to scare people out of posting on a forum?

Good attitudes are contagious.

Wow Tom I'm suddenly shocked by your statement actually accusing him of such actions! Purposely scaring people from posting?

It's natural for people to remember the bad things vs the good. I see no need to make false accusations.

And Tom? I have talked about the good.... that's why I'm still here....thank you very much ;)
No need to be ugly.

Yup Brad! I am hoping there will eventually be more activity for sports because that is where I will be rooted!
